Esse Est Percipi.
Esse Est Percipi is the first of a series of reflection upon the role of landscape.
In the series, a piece of glass is interposed between the subject-matter and the photographer. The landscape behind the glass is not only filtered, but hidden by vapor, raindrops, cracking ice.
Esse Est Percipi: “to be is to be perceived”.
The project questions the essence of perception, the role of our senses in interpreting reality. The photographs offer the viewer a mean to reflect upon immaterialism and subjectivism within the postmodern cultural framework.
